What's New in the Jeep Compass SUV?
The most obvious of new-model-year updates are to the interior and exterior design, keeping Compass consistent with the rest of the Jeep brand's evolving lineup. On the outside, the 2022 Compass exhibits a more assertive aesthetic, with narrower headlights, a reworked signature grille, and a more aggressive front bumper. The cabin has also been refreshed, including a cleaner, modern layout, with an upholstered and stitched dash and upgraded tech. Finally, the 2022 Compass updates its features list with Jeep's next-gen infotainment system and the newly standard Advanced Safety Group package.
Performance
A 2.4-liter Tigershark® MultiAir® 2 engine provides the motivation, sending 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. Jeep's Active Drive 4x4 system is available for Sport and Latitude trims and standard on all higher tiers, providing enhanced handling and control for rough terrain and wintry conditions. Four-wheel-drive models also feature an upgraded 9-speed automatic transmission.
Safety
For the 2022 model year, Compass moves the Advanced Safety Group to the base trim level, allowing Portsmouth drivers to enjoy an extra degree of security and confidence no matter which trim level they select. Standard driver aids include:

Backseat passengers will appreciate ample headroom and legroom, rear air vents, and extra USB charge ports. And the 60/40-split rear seats fold easily, expanding cargo capacity from 27.2 to 59.8 cubic feet.
