2022 Jeep Compass Trims and Packages

The Compass is one of Jeep's most popular models, thanks to its rugged performance, its spirited styling, and its fun driving experience. The 2022 Jeep Compass comes in four trim levels that give buyers the flexibility to create the experience they want and need in their SUV. Additional packages give buyers even more options to get the features they want. 

Here's a closer look at the eight trim levels and various packages offered for the 2022 Jeep Compass: 

Sport

The base model 2022 Jeep Compass is the Sport. It is powered by a 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder engine that puts out 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque - the same engine that runs on all trim levels for the 2022 Compass. Buyers have the option of a six-speed or nine-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but four-wheel drive is available. The 16-inch wheels are wrapped in all-season tires. Roof rails provide extra options for carrying cargo. 

The Sport comes with plenty of great features, such as an 8.4-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, the Uconnect 5 system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, both type A and type C USB charging ports, a six-speaker audio system, and heated and powered mirrors. Standard safety features include a backup camera, forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane keep assistance, and blind-spot monitoring. 

Latitude

With the Latitude trim, the Compass interior is upgraded from cloth upholstery to vinyl upholstery, which is helpful when you are exploring back roads and traveling in a lot of muck. Some of the other interior upgrades include a premium wrapped steering wheel and shifter knob, ambient overhead lighting, and keyless entry. Outside, some of the upgrades include 17-inch silver painted aluminum wheels, fog lamps and cornering lamps, power heated mirrors, body color door handles, and black glossy mirrors.

New safety features on the Latitude trim include adaptive cruise control and a parking assistance program.

The Altitude package is available on the Latitude, and it includes gloss black and gray exterior accents, a black roof, and 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels, among other cosmetic upgrades.

Altitude

With the Altitude trim, everything that was available on the previous package comes standard, plus a few extras: 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels, single bright exhaust tips, gloss black roof, gloss black exterior accents, piano black interior accents, and black interior stitching. It also comes with premium LED headlights, tail lights, and fog lights. 

Latitude Lux

The Latitude Lux trim level starts introducing some more luxury features on the Compass. This trim level comes with heated leather-trimmed front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a windshield wiper de-icer. The driver's seat gets lumbar support and more points of memory, and the infotainment system gets a larger, 10.1-inch display screen.

Safety features are expanded with a 360-degree camera, rear cross-path detection, and pedestrian and cyclist detection. 

Four-wheel drive comes standard on the Latitude Lux, and 18-inch painted alloy wheels are wrapped in all-season tires. Remote vehicle start is also standard. 

Limited

The Limited trim level continues on the luxury theme, adding more refined features for elegance and comfort. The Limited offers standard four-wheel drive, and it rides on 18-inch diamond cut aluminum wheels. It has a two-tone paint group with the same gloss black roof and gloss black and chrome accents you'll find on the Latitude Lux. Exterior upgrades include automatic high-beam headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers. 

Inside, the Limited is upgraded with a full-color, seven-inch instrument display, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a black and gray interior with Sepia accents and Burnished Copper stitching. Rear parking assistance is added to the slate of safety features.

The High Altitude Package is available for the Limited trim level. The package includes gray and glossy black exterior accents, body-color front and rear bumpers, 19-inch Satin Granite Crystal alloy wheels, and a dual-pane sunroof. Inside, the package adds black leather seats with Tungsten stitching, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, and a nine-speaker Alpine audio system.

Trailhawk

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk shifts its focus to off-road performance, rather than luxury - though many of the luxury features on the lower trim levels can still be found here. The Trailhawk comes with the same standard engine, but the nine-speed automatic transmission is standard. Four-wheel drive is standard, and the Active Drive Low system is added to provide more power and control in tough conditions. With this system, the Jeep becomes focused on low-range gears and it gets a 20:1 crawl ratio. The Trailhawk also has a 30-degree approach angle and increased ground clearance, letting it take on up to 19 inches of water fording. Maximum towing capacity is 2,000 pounds on the Trailhawk.

Cosmetic upgrades on the Trailhawk include red tow hooks and an anti-glare hood decal.

Red

Red is not only a special edition with unique features, but it is also designed to help raise money for a great cause, with some proceeds going to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. It comes in a gorgeous red color (obvi), and includes 19-inch granite wheels, neutral gray side roof rails, body-color accents, neutral gray grille rings, and a special edition liftgate decal.

High Altitude

The features on the High Altitude trim are similar to those offered on the High Altitude package. This trim comes with 19-inch wheels, LED exterior lighting, gray grille rings and a glossy black grille surround, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. Inside, the trim level gets a larger instrument cluster and more points of driver's seat memory.
