2023 Jeep Gladiator Trims & Packages

If you're in the market for a gasoline-powered truck with tons of off-road ability, you're not going to find a better option than the 2023 Jeep Gladiator. But when you're shopping for any Jeep, there are a ton of options you get to pick from.

That's why we came up with this guide to help you sort through it all and find the perfect Jeep Gladiator for you.

2023 Jeep Gladiator Trims

The Jeep Gladiator is a great truck, but with nine different trim levels, it can be a little overwhelming trying to find the right choice for you. That's why we took the time to highlight all nine trim levels and a few of the highlights from each one for you here.

Sport

While the Jeep Gladiator Sport is the base model Gladiator, Jeep ensured that it didn't affect the overall performance in the slightest. It still boasts an impressive 7,650-pound towing capacity, and it has a maximum payload of 1,600 pounds.

This is all even more impressive considering the Gladiator sport features a gasoline engine. And while it's not full of super high-end technological features, it's not lacking either. It comes with a ParkView backup camera and a 7" touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Willys Sport

The Willys line typically offers a little more off-road capability for Jeep vehicles, and the Willys Sport Gladiator fits that mold perfectly. It comes with 17" aluminum wheels with 32" mud-terrain tires, a Command-Trac 2-Speed 4X4 system, and a limited-slip differential and rock rails for the ultimate off-road adventures.

But while it's technically not the base model Jeep Gladiator, it is the base model version for the Willys line.

Sport S

The Sport S comes with everything the Sport trim level comes with and then some. The 7" screen grows to 8.4" for a little extra size, and there are additional comfort features.

These features include power windows, powered heated mirrors, power-locking doors, and a power-locking tailgate. It doesn't come with any improved performance specs, but there's no denying it's a little more comfortable than the Sport.

Freedom

The Freedom is a unique trim package that offers a little more versatility for off-road adventures and towing. It already comes with a complete trailer tow package, and it features steel bumpers and rock rails for added protection, but it also adds a little more style and comfort with leather-trimmed cloth seats.

Finally, the Freedom trim level comes with tons of unique badging like the Oscar Mike bade and the black American flag fender decal.

Willys

The Willys is a clear step up from the Willys Sport, and it offers everything that trim package has and some more. It gets an 8.4" touchscreen display, a remote proximity keyless entry system, power windows, locks, and more.

It brings a little more comfort to the Willys Sport, although it doesn't offer any additional performance features.

Overland

The Jeep Gladiator Overland is when things really start to get interesting with features. The wheels go from 17" to 18", and there are tons of other optional features you can upgrade to.

These features include adaptive cruise control, a forward collision warning system with active braking, an available Selec-Trac full-time transfer case, and the option to upgrade to McKinley-trimmed seats. With all these features the Jeep Gladiator Overland can feel like a whole different truck!

Rubicon

While all the Jeep Gladiator trim levels come with some pretty awesome off-road capabilities, with the Rubicon trim level things really start to get serious. Every Rubicon comes with a part-time Rock-Trac low 4:1 transfer case, and you can drop all the way to an 84:1 crawl ratio for when things really get dicey.

Furthermore, there's an electronic sway bar disconnect, and the truck features locking front and rear differentials to fully engage the 4x4 system.

From there, you can choose to upgrade and get the trail cam system, and you can upgrade to a steel front bumper that has the strength and durability to handle a full-sized winch. There's plenty of comfort with the Rubicon too, but getting off the pavement is what this truck is all about.

Mojave

The Jeep Gladiator Mojave isn't a step up from the Rubicon trim level, it's more of a step to the side. While the Rubicon is more of an off-road truck, the Mojave is more of a beach/desert truck.

It's the only truck in the lineup with a desert-rated capability, and it has an upgraded suspension system that helps with that. The upgraded FOX 2.5" internal bypass shocks highlight the suspension upgrade, but that's not all this trim level offers.

It also comes with 33" all-terrain tires, a locking rear differential, and high clearance fender flares that give it a ton of versatility. Whether you go with the Rubicon or the Mojave, we're sure you will love your truck.

High Altitude

If you want a 2023 Jeep Gladiator with all the bells and whistles without sacrificing any performance, the High Altitude is the way to go. It still features the same impressive towing and payload capacities, but it offers a bit more comfort and style.

It all starts with the quilted Nappa leather seats, but the 20" wheels go a long way in both the appearance and the off-road functionality of the truck. Safety features that come standard with the High Altitude trim level include a blind spot monitoring system and a ParkSense rear park assist system.
